What is Hypnotherapy?

While TV shows or movies portray hypnosis as a silly, fantastical game of mind control, they forget to include its capacity to facilitate self healing! According to the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis, “Hypnosis is a state of inner absorption, concentration and focused attention.” It is a wonderful tool to penetrate any obstacles or barriers of the mind to enter the subconscious and start healing from deep within.

Hypnotherapy involves inward attention and positive suggestions to change your perception and encourage self growth or changed behavior. This relaxed state makes individuals more open and perceptive to suggestions, and therefore make treatment more effective and increase the ability to reach goals of wellness at a faster rate. Hypnotherapy can be effective in alleviating conditions such as chronic pain, tension, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues and habit disorders like smoking.
